Community Ministry of Calvert County
Community Ministry of Calvert County’s mission is to help people in need with their utility bills or rental payments. One of its goals is to prevent homelessness for people facing eviction or utility shutoff. If someone needs help, they can call the Community Ministry office at 410-414-8007 to set up an appointment to come to the office. During the initial call, the person in need will be given the necessary information regarding paperwork required to document their need.
The staff at the office is all volunteer. For those who would like to volunteer, we provide training in the areas of answering phone calls, setting up appointments, returning messages from voice mail and interviewing those in need. Several times a year there are meetings for the volunteers.
All Saints Church was one of the founding members of Community Ministry in 2012. From the start, All Saints has provided volunteers and financial support to this ensure that we can help those in need here in Calvert County.
