The Safe Nights program is a project of the Calvert County Homeless and Emergency Shelter Committee, which operates between November 1 and March 31. Safe Nights participants are treated like guests in a respectful, dignified manner in a warm and friendly environment.
Safe Nights is a volunteer-driven, faith-based program in which the Shelter will rotate between area churches and agencies. Host churches/agencies provide a sleeping room, a morning and evening meal, and socialization in one, two or three week segments. Bedding, toiletries, and transportation are provided by program staff, volunteers and committee members.
The Safe Nights program is dedicated to providing temporary overnight shelter for individuals and their families in the Calvert County community.
