Youth ministry is a means for both junior high and high school students to grow as individuals in a safe environment while exploring ideas, values, and faith within the context of a supportive community of peers and adults.  Our YouthSquad group is a church-wide ministry, a collaborative effort between All Saints Episcopal and Broadview Baptist, which strives to provide a variety of opportunities and experiences to draw teens into active, responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the faith community and the greater church.

During strategic planning meetings help over the summer, the youth, parents and leaders established the following goals for 2016/2017:
  1. Develop a community where our youth can go to feel safe and where they can talk openly
  2. Active leadership development and teambuilding throughout the year
  3. Frank discussions about sexuality, gender and continued focus on interfaith and diversity
  4. Find ways to actively give back to the community
Over the last year, our Youth Squad has dealt with issues of poverty and economic justice, climate change, gender justice, religious tolerance and race.
