What's going on in the All Saints Community?

Christmas Market is an outreach ministry, extending the presence of All Saints Church in the community as a reminder that we are alive, here and willing to serve.  This event is a service to the creative ares and crafting community which surrounds us.  Many of our artisans, mostly from southern Maryland, are "green", using recycled materials or natural objects and products from our surroundings.  The Market provides a venue for the ECW to make funds for their outreach programs.

Calvert Arts Festival        2017 Flyer

Our ministry mission is to encourage community fellowship, drawing people to All Saints by facilitating local artisans and Calvert County wineries and breweries, while raising money for our All Saints Church building and community outreach funds. Tours of our historic 1692 church and its labyrinth are available throughout the day. The Arts Festival features some of the best artisans in Calvert, St. Mary's and Charles Counties, as well as other fine craftsmen. Artisans include those specializing in pottery, jewelry, fiber arts, painting on a variety of media, wood carving, sculpting, basketry, rug making, and many others. Musicians, dancers, children's activities, baked goods, and other great food will add to the festivities. Admission to the festival and artisan booths is free.

The Calvert Arts Festival is held annually on the second Saturday in May.

Le Saints du Vin - wine tasting group
The mission of Les Saints du Vin is to bring church members and other members of the community together in an informal fellowship.  The general focus of the gathering is the sampling of wines; however a more significant element is the development of friendships and camaraderie. The gatherings are held the second Sunday of every month from 4 pm – 7 pm in most cases and they are typically hosted by members at their homes.  The host picks a theme and purchases the wines.

The guests bring pot luck hors d’oeuvres, and the drinking guests reimburse the host for the cost of the wines.  Non-imbibing guests are welcomed and non-alcoholic beverages are provided. We also vote for our favorite wine of the evening by making a money contribution.  The money contributed for the voting is used as a charitable donation to an organization selected by the participants. We have donated to Project Echo,HeartFELT, American Cancer Society, Calvert County Library, and others;  in 2015 we donated over $2,000.
