It's really quite simple...
We do not collect any information that can be used to identify visitors to this website. We don't set tracking cookies. We don't try to con you into downloading spyware. We don't do that. It's bad.
Our server DOES record incoming IP addresses and referrers (the site you were visiting before you ended up here,) as well as the operating system and type of browser you're using. It also records the date and time of your visit, as well as what pages you looked at, and for how long. That's about it.
Once a month or so we sit down and look at all of this information to make sure we don't have any broken links, and to see which pages draw the most traffic. We have absolutely no idea who you are; only what you looked at while you were here.
If you happen to send us an email, your address is safe with us. We will never use your email address to spam you, and we will never, ever give the email addresses we receive to anyone else. Well, almost never. If the person who asks has a badge and a subpoena we MIGHT consider it... but they'd have to fight their way through an army of church lawyers and we'd probably fight them over every single address and make them show probable cause and go and get a separate court order for each one. And even then we might not give it up.
This is a church, after all.
